Inter chief admits interest in Liverpool's JOnes

Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has admitted the club are still interested in Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones this summer.

Your Site News revealed last month that the Serie A club are still monitoring Jones' availability.

Jones made 16 starts in the Premier League including seven in a row at the end of the campaign - but 18 appearances came from the bench.

However, Jones has a new head coach in Andoni Iraola this summer - who replaced Arne Slot in the Anfield hotseat.

Curtis Jones, we are paying attention to him, Inter chief Ausilio told repoters on Sunday.

We didn't hide. We understand what the developments will be.

What Perez election win means for Jose and Real Madrid signings

Your Site News reporter Gary Cotterill reacts as Florentino Perez is elected as Real Madrid president.

So what does that mean for Jose Mourinho and potential signings this summer?

Mourinho set for Real Madrid return after Perez re-elected

Jose Mourinhos return to Real Madrid is set to be confirmed after Florentino Perez was re-elected as president at the Bernabeu Stadium.

Perez confirmed the Portugueses expected return in his speech after seeing off the challenge of Enrique Riquelme, having made no secret of his intention to name Mourinho as head coach should he seal an eighth term in the role.

It has been reported that Benfica boss Mourinho has agreed a three-year-deal to return to the club he managed from 2010-2013 and replace Alvaro Arbeloa, who was appointed in January after Xabi Alonsos departure.

In quotes on the clubs official website, Perez said: We have won the elections and will continue working to keep winning titles.

I am still here and I am here to defend Real Madrid.

We will continue working so that Real Madrid keeps winning titles, and we will fight until the end to achieve the 16th European Cup.

We will continue to take pride in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the best stadium in the world.

Proud to have the best players in the world, proud to welcome back one of the best coaches in the world, a Madridista like Jose Mourinho. And rest assured, with me as president, Real Madrid has been, is, and will always remain owned by its members.

The 63-year-old Mourinho won LaLiga and the Copa del Rey during his first spell in the Spanish capital, but has not won a domestic league title since leading Chelsea to the Premier League in 2014-15.

His Benfica side were unbeaten in the Primeira Liga last season but finished third, eight points adrift of Porto, after drawing 11 of their 34 games.

Bayern president rules out Olise sale amid Real rumours

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has ruled out the sale of France international Michael Olise amid rumours linking him with Real Madrid

The 24-year-old managed 53 goal involvements in 52 games for the Bavarian side during the 2025/26 season, and has been the subject of interest from the Spanish capital.

However, Bayern's president has said that no offer has been made and outlined that Florentino Perez - who is set to be re-elected as Real president - should not waste his time making one.

"Michael Olise is a Bayern Munich player and he is on a long-term contract. We are not a selling club," Hainer told German outlet BILD.

"If Florentino Perez wishes to make us an offer which has not been the case so far he can save himself the trouble, not even for 150m (129.5m) or more."

'Gibbs-White chosen as Arsenal's alternative to Rogers'

Arsenal have shortlisted Morgan Gibbs-White as a potential alternative for Morgan Rogers, according to The Sun

The Gunners are keen on Rogers, who started in the first half of England's 1-0 victory over New Zealand and is competing with Jude Bellingham to be the starting No 10 for Thomas Tuchel at the World Cup off the back of an excellent season for Aston Villa

However, with Paris Saint-Germain also circling the 23-year-old, Gibbs-White has been named as another option for the Premier League champions and also has admirers at the Emirates.

Ollie Watkins was the only Englishman to score more Premier League goals than Gibbs-White's 15 last season as he helped steer Nottingham Forest to safety.

Gibbs-White signed a new three-year contract at the City Ground last summer when he seemed set to make a move to Arsenal's north London rivals Tottenham.

Wood: Forest would love to keep 'outstanding' Anderson

With speculation swirling about Elliot Anderson's Nottingham Forest future, club team-mate Chris Wood told Your Site what it would mean if the England midfielder stayed at the City Ground beyond this summer.

Wood was speaking after facing Anderson while playing for New Zealand against England in a pre-World Cup friendly match on Saturday.

He said: "It'll be fantastic if he does [stay], he's a Forest player still and we want to keep him. What will be, will be. There are higher powers at play.

"He's outstanding, it showed [tonight]. It was nice to play up against him for the first time and understand what he does. Some of those cutting balls were fantastic."

Forest have already turned down a for Anderson, with a number of other Premier League clubs also interested.

'Arsenal make approach to sign PSG defender'

Arsenal have made an approach for PSG defender Emmanuel Mbemba on a free transfer this summer, according to the BBC.

The report suggests PSG have offered the 18-year-old a new contract but he is open to a move to the Premier League, favouring Arsenal.

The France youth international has played as a centre-back in PSG's youth teams but Arsenal are thought to view him as a long-term option at left-back.
